Classic Underhive Heroes

Are you ready for a blast from the past? Coming your way for one week only are models from older editions of Necromunda, made to order. Mad Donna Ulanti was originally released way back in the mid-1990s. In the lore of the underhive, she’s believed to be a scion of the noble up-hive House Ulanti, whose psychopathic urges drove her to a life of murderous rampages in the depths of Hive Primus. The model is a true classic, armed with an ornate plasma pistol and a vicious chainsword, and is a real pleasure to paint. If you want to know more about Mad Donna, you can do a lot worse than check out Black Library’s Survival Instinct, a novel by Andy Chambers (who had a hand in creating the character back in the day).

Joining her is another child of the noble houses, the son of Necromunda’s ruler Lord Helmawr himself. But you know him better as Kal Jerico, bounty hunter extraordinaire. A Black Library original, Kal – and his sidekick Scabbs, who also comes with him in model form – first appeared in comics, before making his way into a trilogy of novels (now available in the fantastic collection, Kal Jerico: The Omnibus). He has proven a real fan favourite, and this model of him dates from the early 2000s, when he was finally immortalised on the tabletop. It depicts him in the midst of action, hair and coat flowing as he fires one of his twin master-crafted laspistols. Buckled at his waist is an ornate, basket-hilted sword, a hint at his noble origins. Scabbs, meanwhile, is covering Kal’s back (as usual), with his half-wrecked stubber.

These characters won’t be receiving rules like some other Made to Order releases, and are intended as collector’s pieces representing an important part of Necromunda’s history. They won’t be around for long, so make sure to pick yours up before they disappear into the mists of time once more.

You can order Kal Jerico & Scabbs, and Mad Donna, now for one week only – don’t miss out on these pieces of Necromunda history.
