The day is here!
Chaos rises across the galaxy, xenos fleets descend upon the isolated worlds of the Imperium, the Indomitus Crusade launches, and you can finally order your copy of the new edition of Warhammer 40,000.
If you’re a Warhammer 40,000 fan, you’ll want the new book, and you’ll have a few options on how to get hold of it. You can pick it up individually, and at 280-pages long, it will certainly keep you busy. Or you could go for the impressive new Dark Imperium box, which also comes with two armies, including the fresh-off-the-Martian-production-line Primaris Space Marines and the hideously resilient Death Guard. For the discerning collector out there, who wants a piece of Warhammer 40,000 history, there is also the Limited Edition – a glorious tome from a run of just 2,000 world wide.
Then you’ll be wanting the rules for your army. If it’s any type of Space Marine of the non-traitorous variety, you’ll want Index: Imperium I, while their allies in the Astra Militarum, Adepta Sororitas and Imperial Knights are all in Index: Imperium II.
The ancient xenos of the galaxy (Aeldari of all persuasions and Necrons) can be found in Index: Xenos I, while the relatively new kids on the galactic block – the Tyranids, Genestealer Cults, Orks and T’au Empire – are all in Index: Xenos II.
Of course, if you’re the type of gamer who wants to have the rules for every model in the game, pick up all 5, and you’ll have all your datasheets, in a fraction of the volumes you would have had to own in the previous edition.
Then, it’s just case of picking your gaming accessories, and you’re all set for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000.
For any of you starting a new army today, we’d love to see your progress, so post up some pics over on our Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page.
