Horus Heresy Pre-orders

This week sees two weapons packs arrive for the Space Marines and two of the Horus Heresy campaign books re-released in softback editions. Join us as we take a look at this week’s Forge World pre-orders.

Tools of the Trade

An iconic weapon of the Legiones Astartes, the umbra pattern boltgun saw heavy use during the later stages of the Horus Heresy. Now you can equip your Legion forces with this deadly weapon, thanks to this nifty Forge World weapon pack. This new set of ten bolters is compatible with the Mark III, Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI Space Marines, and it comes with a selection of optional bayonet-style attachments, including everyone’s favourite, the chainaxe!

It’s not just power-armoured Space Marines that are getting weapons – Tartaros Terminators are getting new weapon options too. Featuring five power axes and a power sword, they’ve been designed to work perfectly with the Tartaros Terminator kit. They’re ideal for slicing your way through Traitors/Loyalists (delete as appropriate).

Both of these weapon packs were created with The Age of Darkness in mind. However, they also work well with your Warhammer 40,000 models to ensure your warriors have the right wargear for the job, and to make them stand out on the tabletop.

Back in Black

One of the best ways to get into the Age of Darkness is with the Horus Heresy campaign books, and now two of them are being reissued in glorious softback editions. Betrayal is the first book in the series. It focuses on the brutal fighting on Isstvan III and includes rules for the Sons of Horus, Death Guard, Emperor’s Children, and World Eaters.

Tempest is the fifth campaign book and sees the heresy come to Ultramar. Play through the Betrayal at Calth campaign as Lorgar unleashes his assault and a planet burns. It features rules for fielding Word Bearers and Ultramarines armies, allowing you to replay these bitter battles.

The weapons and campaign books are all available to pre-order today. Head over to the Forge World webstore and order yours now.

Also, don’t forget – if you’re a fan of The Horus Heresy there’s news for you coming in the Warhammer Preview Online tomorrow, Saturday the 22nd of August. Make sure you come back then to get all the latest info.
