Warhammer 40,000 Open Day and Golden Demon: Dates Announced

Are you ready for the Warhammer 40,000 Golden Demon? We’ve announced the categories, and now we’ve got dates:

Warhammer 40,000 Open Days and Golden Demon will run at Warhammer World this 25th and 26th of November.

This year’s Golden Demon painting competitions will be held at their respective Open Days, so if you’re preparing an entry, you’ll need to have it ready by these dates, and if you’re attending the Open Days you’ll have a chance to check out some top-quality miniatures painting.

Finally, if you work for Games Workshop and want to enter, there’s a category in this year’s competition just for you. For the Warhammer 40,000 Open Day, the rules for the Staff competition are as follows:

“Staff Only (Single Model)- Any single human-sized Warhammer 40,000 miniature mounted on an appropriately sized base. This category includes Terminators, Ork Warbosses, Tech-Priest Dominus etc. Characters mounted on bikes, jetbikes etc will also be accepted in this category. This is the only category Games Workshop staff may enter.”

As well as giving staff a chance to prove their skills, this is a great opportunity for Open Day visitors to see some fantastic models, including work from our Studio painters and sculptors.

If you’re looking to enter the Golden Demon for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, this will be at the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Open Day – we can’t announce a specific date just yet, but this will be held in March 2018 if you’re looking to prepare.

If you’d like to attend either Open Day, tickets will be on sale soon. In the meantime, if you want to check out some great looking Golden Demon entries, have a look at the official Golden Demon website, and don’t miss your chance to check out the winner’s exhibition now on display at Warhammer World – check out the website and plan your visit.
