Warhammer Fest: Gaming Events Galore

In just one month – on the 12th and 13th of May – Warhammer Fest will be in full swing, bringing all the excitement and fun of the Warhammer hobby to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. As in previous years, Warhammer Fest will include your chance to meet the creative staff from the Games Workshop and Forge World studios, get insights into the design process, see some sneak peeks of upcoming goodies, and get books signed by Black Library authors. You’ll also find lots of exciting exclusive and pre-release products to pick up. Notably, this year’s event will also play host to several gaming events, ranging across a number of game systems.

The highlight for many hobbyists will be a Grand Clash for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire. With all eight warbands now available, the expanded Card Library and tactical options available will make this an event of unparalleled scope, where competition for the first place trophy is sure to be fierce. Will Spiteclaw’s Swarm come out on top, as they did at the recent Warhammer World Grand Clash? Or will Ironskull’s Boyz smash all their puny foes like they did at AdeptiCon? You can help decide by choosing a warband, crafting a deck, checking out the event pack and picking up your ticket. (And if you want some deck ideas, check out the Deck Builds library here.)

It’s not just the Mirrored City that will be echoing to the call of war though. The warriors of Middle-earth will be taking to the tabletop as well in a Battle Companies event for the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game. This clash of small-scale warbands will see heroes rise as they face other battle companies and vicious monsters in a series of hard-fought games. To find out more about the format, check out the event pack and Battle Companies expansion, and grab your ticket from the Warhammer World website.

If you prefer your carnage on the gridiron, the Blood Bowl Spike! Magazine Championship Cup might be up your street. With more gold available than usual to build your team, and additional Star Players included in the event pack, this promises to be every bit as chaotic and enjoyable as Blood Bowl can (and should!) be. So if you want to prove yourself the best Head Coach in all the world, head to the Warhammer World website to claim your ticket now.

Finally, you can also take part in a Warhammer Age of Sigmar Throne of Skulls event. Offering four pitched battles, this matched play event will be a test of skill and strategy that only the greatest generals of the Mortal Realms can hope to win. And with new armies like the Daughters of Khaine and Idoneth Deepkin sure to be making an appearance, it’s sure to be an entertaining event as well. Download the event pack, purchase your tickets, and ready your army for war!

Whether you want to take part in one of these gaming events, watch games being played or just explore the rest of what Warhammer Fest has to offer, you can still pick up your tickets for the event – either for Saturday, Sunday (which also includes the prestigious Golden Demon painting competition) or the whole weekend – on the Warhammer World website now.
