White Dwarf Preview: A Nurgle-y New Year (and much more)

A new year is coming, and there’s all sorts of exciting Warhammer on the way, from the Mortal Realms, to Middle-earth™, to the 41st Millennium.

White Dwarf is on hand to guide you into a new year of hobby, starting with the resurgence of the Plague God. Both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar will soon be feeling the rancid visitations of Grandfather Nurgle, from a range of new daemonic Heralds, to a new Beast of Nurgle, the Pusgoyle Blightlords, and the gigantic Great Unclean One. We’ve gathered some of the ‘Eavy Metal team to share their top tips on painting your Nurgle armies, from a look at potential colour schemes to some advanced techniques.

Indeed, it’s a dark time for the Mortal Realms – and not just because of Nurgle. Something ancient and evil is rising, and the omens are everywhere. This month’s White Dwarf contains more clues as to what it might be with a pair of short stories…

Finally, to celebrate the release of the Middle-earth™Strategy Battle Game: Battle Companies, White Dwarf has a pair of new scenarios written by designer Jay, allowing you to act out a partner campaign to the Quest to Fornost narrative campaign in the main book. This is just the start of the campaign – you’ll find the continuation of each scenario in February’s issue.

There’s loads more to get your teeth into in 2018’s first issue of White Dwarf – make sure to pick up your copy when it comes out, or grab a combined subscription and get it delivered straight to your tablet or mobile as well!
